Estimating, Cost Planning, Quantity Surveying
Regulatory-compliant drainage supporting operational standards.
Provision and upgrade of foul and surface water drainage systems to comply with EASA regulations. EASA regulations define operational and safety standards for European airfields. Implementation of various EASA requirements necessitates infrastructure upgrades and modifications to achieve regulatory compliance.
Compliance requires proper segregation of foul and surface water flows, collection and treatment of aircraft wash water and fuel spills, and installation of interceptors for fuel and oil separation. The work encompassed detailed surveys of existing drainage infrastructure, design of upgraded systems, installation of new interceptor facilities, and commissioning to environmental and operational standards.
Quant Measur managed the commercial and cost aspects throughout, coordinating with environmental regulators and airport operations teams to ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure.

Runway & Apron Concrete Joint Resealing
Estimating, Cost Planning, Quantity Surveying
Systematic preservation eliminating aircraft safety risks.
Systematic resealing of concrete bay joints across runway and apron areas to control Foreign Object Damage (FOD) and prolong pavement life. Over time, joint sealants deteriorate due to UV exposure, thermal cycling and aircraft loads — allowing water infiltration and foreign object debris to enter joints.
FOD — loose debris such as stones, gravel or torn sealant — poses serious risks to aircraft safety, including engine damage and tire cuts. Effective joint sealing is critical to minimizing FOD and maintaining pavement integrity. The programme was carefully sequenced to maintain operational access whilst progressing systematically across pavement areas.
Quant Measur managed the commercial and cost aspects, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints whilst coordinating with airport operations to minimize disruption to aircraft movements.

Windsock Pole Installation & Relocation -
LED Lighting Upgrade
Estimating, Cost Planning, QS
Enhanced visibility for safe aircraft guidance.
Relocation of two windsock masts away from dock edge to enable essential maintenance access for inspections, repairs and structural assessment. Windsock masts are essential to airport operations — providing wind direction and strength information critical for aircraft landing and takeoff decisions.
The new locations provided better maintenance access whilst maintaining visibility from runway and taxiway. The relocation incorporated new LED lighting systems for improved visibility during low light conditions — enhancing safety for aircraft operations and ground personnel.
The project required careful survey and structural design to select suitable new locations, removal of existing masts, installation of new foundations, and commissioning of LED systems. Quant Measur managed the commercial and cost aspects, ensuring delivery within budget and programme.

Noise Monitoring Terminal Installation
Estimating, QS, Cost Planning, Contract Admin
Demonstrating compliance with noise regulations.
Installation of advanced Noise Monitoring Terminals at two strategic perimeter locations to demonstrate compliance with noise regulations and Section 106 agreement obligations. Each terminal comprised sophisticated acoustic measurement system, data logging equipment and protective housing — requiring careful site selection, installation and commissioning to ensure accurate noise measurement aligned to CAP 516 standards.
The monitoring systems provide continuous data demonstrating noise compliance and identifying trends. Installation required liaison with planning authorities, environmental regulators and airport neighbours to ensure monitoring systems were fit for purpose.
Quant Measur managed the commercial and cost aspects throughout, ensuring both installations were completed to specification within budget parameters whilst meeting all regulatory and operational requirements.
