Full lifecycle delivery of a specialist marine emergency facility.
The provision of a new fire boat berthing pontoon accommodating two ribs, with additional inclined recovery area, an aluminium access ramp, perimeter handrail and cushion fenders — together with the removal of the existing fire boat berthing pontoon and gangway. A specialist marine emergency response facility designed to meet a precise set of operational requirements.
We were appointed to provide commercial support across the full project lifecycle, from initial budget through to final account. Our role focused on giving the client cost confidence on a technically specialised marine installation and disciplined post-contract management through delivery.

Initial Budget Estimate
Producing an initial budget estimate covering the new pontoon, recovery area, ramp, handrail and fendering, plus the removal of the existing facility — providing a clear, integrated cost build-up.
Detailed Cost Planning
Preparing a final detailed cost plan and advising on the overall project budget, providing cost confidence on a technically specialised installation.
Contract Strategy & Tender Administration
Advising on the form of contract and the proposed amendments, preparing the Preliminaries document, administering the tender process, and providing reasoned recommendations on the contract price.
Contract Administration
Attending site and progress meetings as required, agreeing interim payments with the contractor in line with the contract, and issuing the corresponding certificates.
Monthly Cost Reporting
Preparing written monthly assessments of progress, including anticipated final cost of the works.
