Project overview
Pre-contract cost development on a runway efficiency scheme.
The addition of another full Code C taxi-lane to enable larger Code C aircraft to access the western end of the runway and to reduce runway occupancy times for aircraft taxiing to and from the western end. An operational capacity scheme with a clear efficiency rationale.
We were appointed to provide commercial support during the pre-contract phase. Our role focused on establishing the cost case for the taxi-lane addition and managing the budget through design development.

Initial Budget Estimate
Producing an initial budget estimate for the Code C taxi-lane addition, providing the client with the cost case for an operational capacity scheme.
Cost Management Through Design
Managing the budget through design development as the alignment, infrastructure and integration requirements of the new taxi-lane were finalised.
Final Cost Plan
Preparing a final detailed cost plan and advising on the project budget — providing the cost evidence base to support commitment.
