Benchmarking

Comparisons, market testing, production of metrics, costs modelling.

Quant and Measur use Benchmarking as a process by which to estimate the performance (often cost) of a project compared to other similar projects. Quant and Measur use this to highlight areas of design that are not offering good value for money and can help in the assessment of tenders from suppliers and contractors.

Quant and Measur continue to use Benchmarking for public sector clients, where the government has access to large amounts of cost data for similar projects. In the private sector, Quant and Measur use comparable in-house cost information, and some cost information from sources such as the Building Cost Information Service (BCIS).
